Que Dijo Podcast
Various of instagram carousel’s were made for an Internship at Renveo Productions. This LLC was for a show called “Que Dijo?”, a queer Latino podcast. “Que Dijo” translated into English means “What did you say?”.
Cringeworthy Pride Products
This carousel is about LGBTQ+ products that were too over the top. The clients sent information and images of what they wanted to be displayed on the carousel. Colorful graffiti spray paint was added, and had was overflowed onto the next page. This technique is used so the viewer can be interested to continuing swiping.
The pink brick wall is Que Dijo’s signature look, so that was placed as the background for this post. Because of the pink background it was difficult to see the text, so white blocks were placed to make the information readable.
Queer Love
This carousel was created for the guests on Episode 25 of Que Dijo. They are a queer couple that discussed about their relationship and the adversity of being gay. The clients wanted to continue using the pink wall as the background, and they enjoyed the idea of an image overflowing to the next slide.
Continuing to overflow with the rainbow, so the viewer can stay interested in the post. Being given pictures and quotes from the couple allowed speech bubbles to be added. Hovered the speech bubble over the person that said the quote.
Hot Takes
This carousel is giving some word of advice to everyone about the LGBTQ+ community. To keep Que Dijo’s social media posts consistent I kept the colorful graffiti spray paint, and continued the overflow technique with the flames.
The flames were added because of the title “Hot Takes”. The flames are embellished to match the color palette of the graffiti spray paint. The same technique was used on the text throughout the carousel.
Sh!t Mexican Parents Say
This carousel is based on the common phrases Mexican parents have said. Since these are quotes the same speech bubbles for the Queer Love carousel was used to keep the social media aesthetic consistent.
The images were provided, but the clients wanted to focus more on the quotes. Therefore, the images were minimized but enough to make the carousel to look interesting. The Papel Picado are Mexican paper decorations, which was used in this carousel to overflow to the next slide.
